As a Colorado photographer, I grew up visiting Crested Butte to mountain bike and enjoy the wildflower season in the summers. It’s always been one of my favorite places to return to and photograph in. This fall brought some amazing colors for Britta & Max’s elopement in Crested Butte and was nothing short of magical.
After a few years planning their fall elopement, we shared the sentiment of loving all the different views and adventures that this spot has to bring and so naturally their day took us on an adventure through a few spots to get some great backdrops.
They started their day in town, enjoying the slow morning together and then met me out at a trailhead where they finished getting ready at their truck before we took a short walk to a meadow for their vow exchange.
The vibrant colors of the changing leaves provided one of the most picturesque moments for the couple’s intimate moments together. As we moved throughout the area, I felt so inspired by the big mountains, fall tones, and the sunlight peaking through them. We did some light off roading – heading to a few spots for their portraits.
As the sun began to set, the golden light bathed everything in a warm glow, creating an amazing atmosphere for the last few pictures of the day. Overall, this Crested Butte fall color elopement was an unforgettable experience. As a Colorado photographer, I am always so grateful for the opportunity to capture moments like these and be able to share some of my favorite spots with my clients. Can’t wait for our next Crested Butte adventure elopement.
