If you’re exploring a destination wedding with gorgeous views, unique travel experience and luxury stays, you should get married in Thailand. I’ve spent the last fifteen years traveling to visit my family in Thailand. After exploring many regions of the country, I can say that getting married in Thailand would be the most dreamy adventurous experience.

Why Elope in Thailand?

One of my biggest selling points to Thailand is the versatility between city life and a relaxing oceanfront vacation. Flights depart from the United States frequently and are usually between one to two stops. Pricing will vary between $800-$2k per person depending on the flight and seating class. Weather in the fall and winter season can be fair and warm. Hospitality is at the forefront of Thai culture, so accommodations can be amazing for visitors. Lastly, it’s the perfect spot to tie in with a honeymoon.

Where to Elope in Thailand

Below are some of the best places to elope in Thailand, paired with insights of the area and why they’re exceptional choices for couples who value a mixture of luxury locations paired with scenery.

Before we dive in, many of these elopement locations can accommodate groups. This means you can have a more traditional elopement with the two of you, or invite your friends and family to join.

Weddings in Koh Samui

When I first visited Samui, I fell in love with the pace of the island. It felt like a little island paradise, with the perfect mix of nature and relaxation. For couples who want to stay in one area during their travels, this is it.

How to get there: Travel in from Bangkok on a short 45 minute flight to the island.

Six Senses – Koh Samui

Six Senses is a stunning property overlooking the ocean. The private villas allow for slow, uninterrupted storytelling—ideal for capturing getting-ready moments, quiet pauses, and organic movement.

Weddings at Six Senses Samui:

  • Up to 30 Guests
  • Offers an inclusive wedding package on-site, expect to spend around 145,000 THB or $4600 USD for their wedding package
  • Private villas with ocean views part of the IHG hotel collective, 5 star hotel, recognized with two Michelin keys

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui

For an elevated experience with many activities organized by the resort, this would be my recommendation. The property has a mixture of rocky and hilly backdrops, oceans, and lush forest. The private cove is so gorgeous.

Weddings at the Four Seasons Samui:

  • Variety of spaces for guests counts ranging from 15+ (private villas, ballrooms, outdoor spaces)
  • Inquire with Four Seasons for pricing. For a two person elopement expect costs to be around 85,000 THB or $2700 USD plus gratuity and fees or 175,000 THB for a 50 guest wedding

Banyan Tree – Samui

One of my favorite locations on Samui with a gorgeous oceanfront ceremony spot. Banyan Tree, nestled up on the hillside creates a serene and private area.

Weddings at Banyan Tree

  • Just the two of you or up to 120 Guests
  • Pricing ranges from 85,000 THB to 250,000 THB ($2700-$8000 USD)
  • 5 star resort with private beach and spa

Weddings in Phuket

Phuket offers a more bustling island area, full of night life, accommodations, and activities. This is one of the most easily accessible areas of Thailand for international travelers.

How to get there: Fly in from Bangkok, an 1hr 30 minutes flight.

Anantara Koh Yao Yai – Puket

This is a gorgeous resort with views of the bay. Between the resort and the villa, the property gives you and your guests the ability to have a vacation full of exploring and activity. The Anantara hotel group has many great properties across Thailand to extend your trip.

Weddings at Anantara:

  • Options for smaller ceremonies, and larger weddings with receptions.
  • Ranging from 125000 THB – 190000 THB ($6000 USD)
  • Commitment to sustainable luxury

Notable for larger weddings:

Amanpuri – Phuket

The Aman Group is known for it’s luxury-forward modern hotels. For couple’s wanting tailored experiences for themselves and guests with relaxation and privacy, this is where’d I would recommend visiting.

Weddings at Amanpuri:

  • Ideal for couples drawn to quiet luxury
  • Best for larger micro-weddings/elopements with guest count of 50+
  • Contact Amanpuri for pricing

Weddings in Krabi

Rayavadee – Krabi

Rayavadee is unmatched for scale and drama. The limestone cliffs and water that shifts from turquoise to deep blue make for the perfect spot to get married.

Why it photographs beautifully:

  • The Grotto ceremony spot offers private use of the space.
  • Inquire for pricing, 10 night stay minimum required for wedding packages.
